Marcee has a bright energy and is passionate about her work as a SomaYoga Therapist and Bal-A-Vis-X Practitioner, and this shines through in her work with students. Through her yoga training with Yoga North Duluth, she transformed her life and she is an authentic guide when helping others transform theirs. Her empathy and caring provide a soothing presence for her students, empowering them to feel better in both their bodies and spirits.
She attended her first yoga class in a church with her mother when she was at the tender age of 6 or 7, and it was “love at first asana”! As a child, she was often found watching tv in plough or cobbler’s pose, and tree pose was her default when washing dishes. When she attended her first BAVX training, she felt the effects in her own brain and body, and immediately saw the ways this could help the lives of others.
“I keep coming back because you care about me and my health and well-being. You are knowledgeable and thoughtful in your approach and I always learn something and feel heard. I feel better after a class with you and you teach me things I can incorporate into my daily stretching routine. I am always grateful for your beautiful soul.” Her students say she is non-judgmental, valuing differences, and can see the truth in others. Striving to “walk her talk”, she feels blessed her students see her in this light!
Marcee truly loves all of her work. She has a wide variety of interests and is constantly learning new things to incorporate into her own life and shares these with those she works with. While still working with clients with pain and pelvic health issues, she currently spends most of her time working with clients with mental health issues, for which the practices of BAVX, SomaYoga and Yoga Nidra are uniquely suited.
